Frequently Asked Questions
-
Every project follows the same four-stage process: discovery (kickoff call, brief, mood-boarding), exploration (initial concepts presented at the first check-in), refinement (selected direction developed through the second check-in), and delivery (final files and rights transfer).
-
Most projects run 3ā8 weeks from kickoff to final delivery, depending on scope. A focused logo refresh might wrap in three weeks; a full brand identity with motion components typically takes six to eight. I build space into every timeline because the best work needs room to breathe, time for inspiration, brainstorming, and perfecting.
*Rush deadlines are possible but rarely produce the work I want my name on.
-
Projects are billed in three installments: 25% deposit at signing, 25% at the midpoint, and 50% upon final delivery.
The deposit secures your place in my schedule, and final files transfer once payment is complete.
I accept ACH, credit card, and check. Payments are invoiced through QuickBooks.

Final deliverables include vector files (.AI, .SVG, .EPS) for scalable use, high-resolution raster files (.PNG, .JPG) for digital, and print-ready PDFs.
For brand identities, you'll also receive a brand guidelines document. All files are organized in a clearly-named folder structure and delivered via cloud download.
-
Of course! Once the project is paid in full, you own the final delivered work outright. That includes the right to use, modify, and reproduce the design for your business.
While the project is in progress, Murcko Design retains rights to the in-development files until final payment.
If your project includes third-party assets (stock photography, premium fonts, licensed illustrations), I'll walk you through the licensing options up front so you can choose the level of rights that fits your budget and intended use. All purchased licenses transfer to you with the final delivery.
-
Two rounds of revisions are included. One at each of the two scheduled check-in points after kickoff. Most projects don't need more, but additional revisions are available at my hourly rate and are scoped separately.
The structure exists to keep the work moving forward and protect the original creative direction we landed on at kickoff.
-
HELL NO! My original artwork is hand-crafted, not AI-generated.
I only use AI as a communication and brainstorming tool The visual work itself comes from my eye - never from a prompt.
-
A logo is a single mark and the visual signature for a business.
A brand identity is the larger system around it: logo, secondary marks, color palette, typography, voice, and how those elements work together across applications like a website, packaging, and social media.
Most businesses need both eventually, though many start with the logo and grow into the full system.

I have a deep passion for sports and athletic brands, but any creative brand excites me. That includes real estate, tourism, food and beverage, arts organizations, and many others.
Iām from Tampa, Florida and retain many clients there. I am currently located in Seattle with strong connections in Vancouver, Canada.
I work with clients across the United States and Canada.
-
Every project is a real collaboration. You're hiring me for my creative perspective, but the best work happens when there's honest dialogue at every step.
You'll have two opportunities to review and react to the work, and I'll fold your feedback into the next iteration while staying true to the direction we aligned on at kickoff.
Whether you're in Seattle, Vancouver, or Tampa, I'm happy to meet in person or virtually.
-
Yes. I regularly collaborate with copywriters, photographers, web developers, and printers when a project needs them, and I work as a contracting partner with marketing agencies on white-label projects.
If your project needs a teammate I don't cover (code, etc.), I'll either bring in a vetted collaborator or hand off cleanly to your team.

Once you sign and pay the deposit, we kick off within two weeks.

Rush projects are possible but limited. I typically I take on one or two per quarter when the calendar allows.
*Rush work carries a 25ā50% rush fee depending on the timeline. The best way to find out is to ask: send the brief and target date and I'll let you know within 24 hours.
